KANSAS CITY, Mo. – A pre-trial conference is scheduled in Kansas City for a babysitter charged with murder. The case against Nathaniel Littlefield, 32, began with the May 29 death of 15 month old Messiah Henderson at Children’s Mercy Hospital. Henderson was in Littlefields care when he suffered severe head trauma and a lacerated liver. He died after being removed from life support. Littlefield was charged in a grand jury indictment with murder in the second degree, two counts of abuse of a child and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child. A trial date has not yet been scheduled.
