The number of students enrolled at Missouri Valley College increased with the fall semester. 1,449 students are currently attending class at the Marshall school. The new year also brings MVC’s highest number of international students in the college’s history. 176 people have come from abroad for the 2013 fall semester.

Marshall, Mo.(August 27, 2013)—Missouri Valley College fall 2013 enrollment is up from last year,the College has 1,449 students enrolled. This year’s enrollment includes the largest international student population in the College’s history.

Of the 1,449 students currently enrolled at MVC, 909 students are Missouriresidents, 176 are international students and the entire student body is made up of students from 40 states, 39 countries and one U.S.territory.

“I am excited about yet another diverse student body, and I am looking forward to a great academic year,” said Dr. Bonnie Humphrey, MVC president. “Our campus is filled with energy, and we have a lot of events and activities in place.”

Due to the heat, the traditional Convocation ceremony has been canceled. Freshman will be welcomed in a short ceremony taking place at 10 a.m. on Thursday, August 29 on the campus quad.
