UNDATED—It’s National Preparedness month. FEMA and Ready have come together to make sure you’re prepared, not scared.

The 2019 National Preparedness month theme is “Prepared, Not Scared” and each of the next four weeks has a theme of its own as well. Sept. 1-7 is geared toward informing on saving early for disaster costs. Sept. 8-14 will focus on making a plan to prepare for specific disasters. Sept. 15-21 is all about teaching kids and young adults how to prepare for disasters and the final week is aimed toward community preparedness.

The website provides a surplus of preparedness information including links to partner organizations and even down to how to make a preparedness kit for pets. By heading over to ready.gov  you can get all this information and more.
