SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – A Nevada, Missouri woman, Patricia Culbertson, 52, was convicted in federal court on Monday, June 29, 2015. She is sentenced to two years in federal prison and ordered to repay $412,022 in restitution. Culbertson was found guilty for a four year embezzlement scheme in which she stole $336,000 from her employer, committed bank fraud and filed a false tax return. Her employer was Barrington Manufacturing Corporation as a bookkeeper. She was employed from June 2009 until her termination in June 2014.

Culbertson had previously been on state probation for trafficking illegal narcotics. According to official documents from Tammy Dickinson, the United States Attorney for the Western District of Missouri, Culbertson will not be receiving parole for her current conviction.

Also according to documents from Tammy Dickinson, Culbertson stole the identities of various company officials on hundreds of instances. She forged the company officials signatures, wrote unauthorized checks from the company’s account and stole money from a separate account that was created to provide financial assistance to other employees.
