CHILLICOTHE, Mo. — A pair of police officers were added to the ranks of the Chillicothe Police Department’s force at Monday night’s meeting of the Chillicothe City Council.

According to an executive release from the session, Marshall Meagher was hired and Richard Fletcher was brought on as well. Both on-boardings were approved pending both individuals passing a physical and Fletcher will assume rank once he has graduated from the police academy. The hires were approved unanimously by council.

In addition, Jeff Gillespie was appointed to the position of street superintendent, and was also approved by the council, with all voting in favor of Gillespie’s elevation to the top post at the department.
