The Keytesville City Council got itself reorganized Monday night during their first meeting after the April municipal election.  The council certified election results for mayor and council, as well as the results of the one percent sales tax issue, which passed.  Newly elected mayor Tony Lee says while he is personally opposed to the tax, it will probably give the city more revenue to work with.

The council also heard concerns about water quality during the public comment period.  Lee says he won’t waste any time trying to figure out what needs to be improved.

Also at Monday night’s meeting, the council voted to submit bills to the State Emergency Management Agency for reimbursement from the blizzard in February.  The deadline to submit that paperwork is within the next 10 days.
