LIVINGSTON COUNTY, Mo. — The Livingston County Sheriff’s Office has approved a new deputy for the force.
According to a release from the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office, John S. Stafford was hired early this month as a full-time road deputy.
Stafford previously worked in law enforcement in Kansas City and more recently in Livingston County, where he has been a reserve deputy and bailiff since 2016.
Stafford is originally from rural Georgia and has four children and eight grandchildren. He is also a Marine Corps veteran, having served both at the White House and Camp David, the news release says.
He also has experience with the Kansas City Police Department and U.S. Marshall Service.
Stafford officially began full-time employment with the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office on November 1.
