With an annual veto session fast approaching, many Missouri Senators are stirred up about Senate Bill 224.

SB 224 would require students to be United States citizens or permanent residents in order to receive the benefits of the A+ Schools program.

The sponsor of the bill is Gary Romine a republican representing Farmington, the Senator stated the “A+ program was silent on the issue.”

The veto session will begin on Wednesday, September 16. Senate Bill 224 is one of many proposals that could possible be taken up during the annual veto session.
