The city of Concordia will be adding some street lights to the Golden Award Plaza area of the city. At Monday night’s Board of Aldermen meeting, they agreed to authorize Kansas City Power and Light to install three street lights in that area. City administrator Dale Klussman says they received a request from a business owner in that area to see what could be done to improve the lighting.
In other business, the board approved two years of audits from Raymond C. Keeney at a cost of just over 10-thousand dollars. That will cover audits for the 2010-2011, as well as the 2011-2012 fiscal years. Alderman Mark Schnakenberg, as well as newly elected Ward 2 Alderman Shannon Redford were sworn into office.
