UPDATE: (03/24/23, 2:51 a.m.) --Â Carrollton Police say a driver had to be extricated from his pickup, after crashing during a pursuit early Friday morning, just outside the Carrollton City Limits.
Chief Michael Turk says an officer doing traffic enforcement in the construction zone at 65 and 24 Highways, observed the vehicle driving in a careless manner before it crashed into a barrier on 24 Highway. The officer activated his emergency equipment and the truck sped away. The pursuit ended near County Roads 280 and 253 when the vehicle exited the roadway and struck a tree.
The driver was released to receive medical treatment.
CARROLL COUNTY, Mo. --Â Emergency crews were called to extricate the driver, of a vehicle that struck a tree just outside Carrollton, early Friday morning.
Carrollton Police were on scene just after midnight, to give preliminary information to Carrollton Fire Department and Carroll County Ambulance personnel.
The extent of the drivers injuries is unknown.
