CARROLLTON, Mo. — With the weather warming up and everyone looking to get outside, what is described as a once in a lifetime experience is headed to Carrollton Saturday, March 20.

If you like kites, a fun outing is in store for Carrollton as Great American Kites will be in town. Imagine the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade but with kites instead of balloons.

A local company, out of Polo, Missouri, as owner Sean Beaver describes it, is in the business of amazing memory and will put on a show at Carrollton High School.

Beaver hopes an event like this will lift up spirits for those young at heart.

Anna Barlow with the Carroll County Chamber of Commerce explains what to expect for those wondering about attending.

Beaver calls witnessing these kits as a once in a lifetime experience.

Barlow details how Carrollton caught the company’s eye.

The event is free to the public and free to the city. Beaver explains why.

The Carrollton Community Kite Festival runs Saturday from 1-4 p.m. at the high school and anyone is encouraged to attend. It is free of cost.
