CLAY COUNTY, Mo. – A defendant from Carrollton failed to get his bond reduced by a Clay County Judge thursday afternoon.
A motion for bond reduction for Louis Lee Jefferson, 52, was denied and his case was set for trial at 9:00 a.m. on July 9. Jefferson was charged in July of 2017, with four counts of first degree child molestation, nine counts of endangering the welfare of a child in the first degree, four counts of statutory sodomy in the second degree, incest and child molestation. It was reported that Jefferson began the sexual abuse of an 11 year old in August, 2004, and continued until at least March of 2016.
Bond remains at $75,000 cash and a pre-trial conference is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. on June 27.
