CARROLLTON, Mo. – There may not be a Carroll County Fair this year, but there will be a beer garden. Carrollton City Council unanimously approved on June 1 a request from the cattlemen’s association to host its annual Beef and Pork Palace beer garden July 9-11. The organizers say they will follow state guidelines for COVID-19, as well as provide hand-washing stations. The event may also have curbside service. The group will have to obtain a liquor license, according to unofficial minutes from the June 1 city council meeting.

The council also approved to send out to bid a public works project for 6th Street and Locust. The scope and mitigation required by SEMA for the project was beyond the city’s three-person street department.
