COOPER COUNTY, Mo. – A Marshall, Mo. resident avoided injuries from a one vehicle crash Saturday, August 6, 2016, about 2:30 a.m., but not arrest.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports Brandon D. Mullins, 24, was westbound on I-70, midway between Boonville and Columbia, Mo. in Cooper County when he swerved to avoid an animal in the roadway.
Mullins eventually lost control and the vehicle ran into the median, striking the barrier cables. The vehicle sustained moderate damage and came to rest.
Once on scene highway patrolmen took Mullins into custody on suspicion of DWI, careless and imprudent driving resulting in an accident as well as no proof of insurance.
He was placed in the Cooper County Jail to await bond and formal charges.
