Every two year’s the Missouri Coalition for Roadway Safety holds the Blueprint Conference where they recognize Highway Safety Heros. The statewide awards include: the Lay Down the Law Award, the Tempe Humphrey Award, the “Show Me Safety Award and the Arrive Alive Award. NE Regional Coalition for Roadway Safety Coordinator Marisa Ellison applications are being accepted now through June 30th, 2014.

Award winners and those who nominated them will be notified in August. Winners will be recognized at the end of September at the 2014 Blueprint to Save Mor Lives Conference in St. Louis at the end of September.

The statewide awards will be judged by independent individuals that are knowledgeable about transportation safety. These awards include:

* the Lay Down the Law Award that recognizes an individual or group in law enforcement
* the Tempe Humphrey Award recognizes and individual or group that has focused efforts on our younger drivers
* the “Show-Me-Safety” Award recognizes and individual group or event that promotes highway safety
* the Arrive Alive Award the recognizes and individual or group for their leadership and dedication to reducing fatalities.
