The Richmond School District is currently accepting nominations for their Wall of Honor program. Click to hear KMZU’s Kristie Cross speak with Assistant Superintendent Brock Dover:
The school district is encouraging residents to nominate those they feel deserving of the award. There are a few requirements to keep in mind. “The Wall of Honor was established to honor and recognize individuals who have consistently exemplified leadership contributions and longevity within our school community,” said Dover, ” In order to be eligible, they will need to be alumni of Richmond High School, a volunteer who has given time and resources unselfishly for the betterment of the school district, or a faculty or staff member, current or former. ”
Nominations are due by August 1st. The necessary forms can be found at the Richmond School District website. Inductees will be announced in mid-August and a special ceremony honoring them will be held during the 2014 homecoming football game.
