NORBORNE, mo. — The Norborne R-8 school board approved ballot language for a $1 million bond issue for facility improvements.
Called Proposition Pirates, the measure would be financed by the current debt service levy of $0.53. Projects proposed in Proposition Pirates include LED lighting conversion, installation of solid core doors and secure locks in the elementary school.
Also proposed are the replacement of HVAC units, flooring in the library and main office, elementary classroom upgrades, replacement of doors and windows and construction of a secure double door entry for the high school entrance.
Proposition Pirates will appear on the April 7 ballot.
