Following a brief luncheon, candidates running for State Senate and House of Representatives to speak on the coalition’s legislative priorities. “Our 2012 legislative priorities are banning the addition of caffeine to packaged alcohol beverages, we’re also working to block any attempts to decriminalize or legalize marijuana, we’re supporting efforts to pass a statewide clean indoor air legislation, the coalition is working on a state-wide effort to establish a prescription drug monitoring program,” said Bruce, “We’re also working to increase the tobacco excise tax. We have the lowest tobacco excise tax in the nation.” This will be Wednesday from noon to two at Maple Woods Community College.
