Update: (1:50 p.m. 09/03/13) The boil advisory has been lifted according to the Oak Grove Emergency Management Department.

A boil water advisory has been issued by the city of Oak Grove Monday afternoon. The order affects residents Southwest 19th, Southwest 20th, Southwest 20th Terrace, Southwest 21st and Southwest 22nd Streets in Oak Grove until further notice. Water to be used for drinking or food preparation should be boiled at least five minutes prior to use.

The City of Oak Grove has issued a Boil Water Advisory in the City of Oak Grove for the area including Southwest 19th, Southwest 20th, Southwest 20th Terrace, Southwest 21st and Southwest 22nd Streets in Oak Grove. Due to a water main break overnight in that area, the City of Oak Grove recommends that water used for drinking or food preparation be boiled for at least five minutes before use. While we do not believe there is a hazard, we are required by state regulations to issue a boil water advisory until water in this are can be tested in a laboratory.
