It was announced there will be a few openings for those interested in local government at the Odessa Board of Aldermen meeting Monday night.

Mayor Justin Murry says one is for a Park Board member the other is for Alderman Donna Davis that is leaving on November 1st.
Murry says to contact City Hall if you’re an interested resident of Odessa wanting to fill those positions.
The board also approved two fundraisers to be held and an ordinance for safety training requirements was approved as well.
Murry also talked about the Ribbon Cutting/Inaugural Walk for the new Centennial Hills Walking Trail being on Wednesday, October 16th.
City staff was recognized for their years of dedication during the mayor’s report as well.
Alderman Sparks was appointed by the board as the Employer Representative for the City of Odessa for the Missouri Local Government Employees Retirement System.
