ODESSA, Mo. — An extension has been approved by the Board of Aldermen in Odessa to expand the dates fireworks can be set off within the city limits.
According to a release from the City of Odessa, fireworks may now be discharged beginning on Friday, June 30. The extension has been granted through Wednesday, July 5.
Time restrictions for setting off fireworks do still apply, however. Odessa residents can light up the sky between 8:00 a.m. and 11:00 p.m. from June 30 until July 5.
The city is urging citizens to be vigilant and aware of the dangers involved with using fireworks. Information about how to stay safe can be found on the Missouri Department of Public Safety website.
