The Odessa Board of Alderman will hold their regular meeting Monday night with a light agenda. Click to hear KMZU’s Mike Stone speak with Odessa City Administrator Jon Holmes.
Administrator Holmes says one item on the agenda will focus on certain structures.
“We are dealing with an ordinance for chapter 8, which is zoning regulations. It has to do with sub-sections that are dealing with accessory buildings, like garages, detached garages and it’s just a clarification of appropriate regulations for setbacks, and building setbacks and things like that for property lines and from the street, that kind of thing,” Holmes said.
The Board will also look to approve action by city officials.
“Authorization for city staff to submit an application to the Department of Natural Resources for a grant…for engineering services for a couple of different projects that we need to get done. ,” Holmes said. “So we’re asking for authorization, so we can put application in to get some free money for the city to help us with different projects,” he added.
Another item will be the authorizing of KAT excavation for the waste water treatment plant, which should be complete in approximately 13 to 18 months.
The meeting gets underway at 7 p.m. at the Dyer Park Community Building, 601 Main Street, Odessa, Mo. 64076.
