Aldermen approved the first reading of Ordinance 2821, giving the board the ability to revoke a business license if that business does not promote the general welfare of the community.

The board heard an update concerning tax revenues being down.

The Puddle Jumpers Committee had a request approved for street closures and shelter signage was approved for the community’s storm shelter.

Sparks also says Odessa was able to receive about 14 thousand dollars for disaster relief from FEMA for the damage caused by the snow storm this past winter.
