NODAWAY COUNTY, Mo. — Troop H of the Missouri State Highway Patrol responded to an accident
that left one man with serious injuries in Nodaway county this (Wed) morning.
35-year-old Colt Gardiner, of Maryville, was headed south on US 71 when he fell asleep at the wheel and travelled off of the east side of the roadway.
Gardiner then overcorrected, travelled off of the west side of the road, became airborne and struck and embankment.
Gardiner was not wearing a safety device at the time of the accident and received serious injuries.
He was transported by Nodaway County Ambulance to Mosaic Life Care in St. Joseph for treatment of his injuries.
