HARRISON COUNTY, Mo. – After a tractor hit a pole in Harrison County Wednesday afternoon, the driver was seriously injured by a piece of the broken pole.

According to the Missouri Highway Patrol report, the incident occurred in a field near the residence of Ronald Graham, 59, about 8 miles southwest of Bethany. The John Deere tractor impacted a utility pole around 5:10 p.m., causing it to break into two pieces. One of those pieces struck Graham in the face, knocking him unconscious.

Graham suffered serious injuries and was flown to Mosaic Life Care for treatment.
