Press Release from P.A.S.S.:

More than 100 individuals have completed their GED in Lafayette County thanks to an organization known as PASS (Providing Academic Support for Success).  Participants from Concordia, Higginsville, Lexington, Odessa, and Wellington receive individualized tutoring, take practice tests, and are assisted with the application process for taking the GED test. Many who have received their GED will be honored in a graduation ceremony this month.

On June 29, 2011, a ceremony will be held to commemorate the success of those individuals who have received a GED after studying with PASS. The ceremony will take place at the Community Christian Center (CCC) on Hwy 224 in Wellington at 7:00 pm. Representative Mike McGhee will be on hand to award certificates and longtime educator Krista Merrifield Salyer will be the featured speaker. Refreshments will be served.

Call 816.726.6717 or check out Facebook at Lafayette County PASS for more information, or to sign up as a graduation participant.
