PLATTE COUNTY, Mo. — District officials of the Park Hill School Districts are warning parents after reports of a suspicious person approaching a student.

District officials said the 10-year-old Union Chapel boy was approached by a man driving a red, four-door car Saturday morning. Officials say the man instructed the boy to get in the car.

The boy got away from the man and reported the incident to his parents. He described the man as a white male, possibly in his 40s, with short, brown hair and no facial hair.

Platte County officials increased patrol in the area. The district sent an alert to parents Monday morning.
