Missouri — Two-hundred-fifty-thousand PPE masks have been sent out this week to healthcare workers and first responders. State officials said shipments were delayed after insufficient orders were shipped to Missouri and recalls took place.

The state ordered masks from three different venders that were either insufficient, partially shipped, or not shipped at all. The Missouri Director of Public Safety Sand Karsten said all but one of the vendors corrected their errors by refunding the state’s money.

The state said they will do everything they can to get the first responders and healthcare workers the adequate equipment they need.
