GENTRY COUNTY, Mo. – A passenger was flown for medical treatment after a crash in Gentry County last night.
A report from the Missouri Highway Patrol says the one vehicle crash occurred around 9:20 Tuesday night on Route H, about seven miles South of Darlington. A southbound vehicle driven by James Drake, 21, of Blockton, Missouri, failed to negotiate a curve, traveled off the East side of the road and hit a MoDOT sign. The vehicle went down an embankment and struck several trees before turning onto the passenger side.
The passenger, Nicholas Nelson, 20, of Clarinda, Iowa, was flown to K.U. Medical Center with serious injuries.
