Patricia Lavern “Patsy” White, 63, of Richmond, died Thursday, September 5, 2019, at Truman Medical Center in Kansas City, MO.
Patsy was born on May 24, 1956, in Kansas City, MO, the daughter of Emmitt and Maude (Nelson) Morgan.
Survivors include: one son, Dwayne White of Richmond; one daughter, Shondra (Jason) Haskins of Rosharon, TX; two grandchildren, Darion Gooch and Elijah Haskins; two brothers, Bobbie Nelson and Jerry (Karen Warren-Nelson) Nelson, both of Kansas City, KS; and one sister, Gwen Sherman of Kansas City, MO.
She was preceded in death by parents and one sister, Lola McKinney.
Patsy was reared and educated in Richmond and graduated from Richmond High School in 1974. She was a hard worker and over the years worked for Banquet Foods in Carrollton, Price Candy Factory in Richmond, City Publishing in Independence, KS, Pitt Plastics in Pittsburg, KS, and the Richmond News. Patsy loved plants, gardening, and cooking. She was a people person with a big heart and always helping others. While she was a member of St. John’s Baptist Church in Independence, KS, she was head of the youth group and helped with ministry work. Patsy was currently a member of St. John’s CME Church in Richmond.

Visitation with funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 14, 2019, at St. John’s CME Church in Richmond, with visitation beginning at 10:00 A.M., with services to follow at 11:00 A.M. Burial will be in Richmond Memory Gardens. Please share your memories of Patsy by visiting
