CASS COUNTY, Mo. — A tip-off to the North Missouri Drug Task Force resulted in a felony drug charge filed against a Peculiar man.

Court records filed Friday charge Ronnie R. Volz, 57 with felony drug trafficking in the second degree – over the statutory amount.

An informant alerted authorities to Volz’s plans to transfer methamphetamine into Cass County.

As Volz reentered the county on November 29, he was stopped by a state trooper. During a search of his vehicle, about 40 grams of methamphetamine, various pills, drug paraphernalia and materials commonly associated with drug distribution were logged into evidence.

Volz is held at the Cass County Jail on $25,000 bond with ten percent surety allowed. Future court dates have not been set.
