RANDOLPH COUNTY, MO – A potential scam is being reported by law enforcement in Randolph County.

Sheriff Mark Nichols advises area residents that impersonators have claimed to be making phone calls on behalf of the sheriff’s office. Victims of the scam are told they are the subject of a warrant, and they must send money or gift cards to avoid being arrested. Law enforcement says, do not provide personal information or send money. In the event of a warrant, law enforcement will make personal contact.
