Election offices in Missouri are warning residents of potential elections fraud.
A statement by Pettis County Sheriff echoed the warning. Complaints were reportedly received from residents indicating phone scams that purport to help voters register. State officials are saying these calls are fraudulent. Voter information provided to scammers could result in fraudulent votes, or financial transactions. The possibility also exists that the respondent providing the information will consequently not be registered to vote on election day. Contact local County Clerks for additional information on voting status and registration.
