PLATTE COUNTY, Mo. — Saturday morning, Platte County Sheriff’s Office and Weatherby Lake Police Department brought Christmas a little early to some lucky Platte County families in need.
Working with schools to obtain lists of those who could use a little extra help this holiday season, coupled with donations received by citizens, they were able to give each family a food box with holiday meal items, clothing for each child in the family, toys, games and activities.
All items were distributed at a drive-thru event at the Platte County Resource Center. According to a release, due to all involved with the program, the 26th year was a success.
