MILLER COUNTY, Mo. — A pursuit that began in Jefferson City Wednesday ended with the driver breaking into an occupied residence in Miller County.
Jefferson City police stopped a car Wednesday afternoon and the driver allegedly handed over fake identification. As officers questioned the driver, he sped away.
Police suspect the two occupants of the vehicle were involved in thefts in Jefferson City and Holt Summit.
Miller County deputies and the Missouri Highway Patrol deployed spike strips to disable the car.
The passenger was caught after a shot chase, but the driver forced his way into an occupied house before officers could catch him.
The suspects have not yet been identified.
