What started as a hunt for a ‘person of interest’ in connection to a homicide in St. Joseph Wednesday, has ended in a pursuit and shoot out. Officers received a tip that the suspect 28-year-old Ty Arnold could be passing through Saline County on I-70. Authorities spotted the vehicle shortly before 4 p.m. and began a chase through the Marshall Junction area.
According to reports from the Highway Patrol, Arnold was in a black truck and had fired several shots at law enforcement officials before pulling off Highway 65 into the MoDOT shed area after his vehicle was disabled.
Information was released concerning the three bystanders hit in the crossfire, and the shooter. Click to hear KMZU’s Brad Hartman talk with Highway Patrol Public Relations Officer Collin Stosberg.
