The case against a Carrollton resident continues at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday.  Charles Politte, 24, is charged with one count of forcible rape related to an incident in Tina in December of 2010.  The Carrollton man was scheduled to face a jury on May 30, but the trial was cancelled to allow a separate case against him to move forward.  He is facing charges of forcible rape, assault, armed criminal action, and forcible sodomy in the second case.  Authorities said he forced a 17-year-old female into a wooded area in June of 2011 and had sex with her.  He was found not guilty of kidnapping by a jury of four women and eight men during a two-day trial.  A Ray County judge declared a mistrial on the other four counts when jurors said they would not be able to reach an agreement.  Attorneys are expected to discuss the 2010 case on Tuesday and the 2011 incident on Wednesday.  He has been jailed on a combined bond of a $125,000 since his arrest.
