Pending changes to the Missouri School Improvement Program as well as the state’s Common Core Standards have prompted one local school district to look into altering their schedule.  Superintendent Robert Newhart has proposed shifting from a seven period to an eight period day.  Click to hear KMZU’s Chelsea Wade talk with Newhart:

The board has not made any decision regarding the 8-period days.  They are expected to discuss the schedule change in upcoming meetings.
