BROOKFIELD, Mo. – On January 4 at 3:46 a.m.., Brookfield officers conducted a traffic stop on US 36 near Pershing Road.

When officers made contact with the driver, identified as Mary Bush, 53 of Polo, they observed Bush acting erratically. Officers then asked Bush for consent to search the vehicle and Bush agreed. During the search of the vehicle officers recovered a smoking pipe, a clear baggie and a black container both containing a crystal like substance. Bush was arrested and transported to the Brookfield Police Department for processing.

Bush has been charged with Felony Possession of a Controlled Substance. Bush was later transported to the Macon County Jail in lieu of posting the $25,000.00 cash or surety bond.
