The Lafayette County C-One School District received many positive reports at their meeting Thursday night. Click to hear KMZU’s Bob Allen talk with Superintendent David Figg:
The board heard a report on summer maintenance projects and was pleased to hear the new roof on the East Gym was nearly complete. The bid for the fuel contract for the upcoming school year was also approved. Figg had good financial news to report as according to the Annual Secretary of the Board Report, the district is in good shape despite the difficult economic climate. Preliminary projections show an approximately 27% fund balance for the district, several points higher than what was originally forecast.
In other district news, the tax hearing for the 2011-2012 school year has been set for August 18th at 7:30 p.m.
