PETTIS COUNTY, MO – A Sweet Springs man is the subject of a kidnapping case scheduled for preliminary hearing Tuesday in Pettis County.

A probable cause statement suggests, Shane Hines, 22, was arrested in January for refusing to release a passenger from a vehicle he was driving. Hines was allegedly intoxicated, and driving over the speed limit. He is charged with a felony for 2nd degree kidnapping, and a misdemeanor for driving while intoxicated.

The hearing is scheduled for 1:30 p.m.
