DAVIESS COUNTY, Mo. — The man who critically injured a Trenton officer is now facing formal felony charges.
Court documents suggest 38-year-old Jamey A. Griffin shot the officer while being transported in a vehicle. The female officer was struck in the abdomen during the incident after 3 p.m. Friday and was taken to a local hospital in critical condition. The officer is identified as Jasmine Diab.
Griffin is detained and formally charged with assault in the first degree, unlawful use of a weapon and armed criminal action, all felonies.
Bond is denied for Griffin and a court date is not set.
