ADAIR COUNTY, Mo. — A Kirksville man is going to prison after violating the conditions of his probation for dealing drugs.
46-year-old Aaron Smyser pleaded guilty in July 2015 to two counts of distributing methamphetamine within 1000 feet of a school.
Smyser was sentenced to 20 years on each count with suspended execution of sentence and 120 days shock incarceration, as long as he completed five years of supervised probation.
After several hearings in Adair County for alleged violations of the conditions of that probation, Smyser was sentenced Monday to serve the 20 year sentences concurrently in the Missouri Department of Corrections.
Court records did not indicate the nature of the violations, which were upheld by a judge Monday.
