The Chillicothe Ministerial Alliance is sponsoring a project to improve a school in the city’s district. This year, Project One will make improvements to Chillicothe Middle School. Click here to listen to KMZU’s Brian Lock speak with Project One Leader Stephanie Hoel:
“Project one is a community support event for the schools sponsored through the Ministerial Alliance,” Hoel said. “All of our local churches get together and decide which school to support over the summer and we go and make them look nice.”
Donations for the project are being accepted until July 19th, and the project has a goal of raising $3,500. Hoel also said that volunteers are vital to make the project run efficiently.
“This year we are working on the Chillicothe Middle School, and they’re needing a lot of painting done,” Hoel added. “We will be painting different areas of the school and sprucing things up. In the past we have laid new flooring, we do whatever they need within a certain amount of money.”
The work-day for the project will be August 2nd. To volunteer or inquire about a donation, call Stephanie Hoel at 1-660-707-0238. Donations can also be sent directly to One Project, 900 Jackson Street in Chillicothe.
