RANDOLPH COUNTY, Mo. — A crash in Randolph County sent a driver to an area hospital Tuesday night.

According to a report from the Missouri Highway Patrol, the incident occurred on 63 Highway about two miles south of Jacksonville at 9:20 p.m. Tuesday.

A mini van driven by 22-year-old Brittany A. Helm, of Macon, was northbound when a deer crossed the road. Helm’s vehicle struck the animal.

Helm sustained minor injuries in the accident. She was taken by ambulance to MU Women’s and Children’s Hospital in Columbia for treatment.
