RAY COUNTY, Mo. — Charges were filed against a Lawson man on Thursday stemming from an incident dating back to 2016.
On Jan. 2 of 2016, officers responded to a call related to theft. According to a probable cause statement, a victim found firearms and jewelry to be missing and suspected David D. Lindsey, 27 and an accomplice had stolen them in return for drugs.
When questioned by law enforcement, the accomplice gave consent to search and officers found multiple syringes containing controlled substances. Lindsey and the accomplice would allegedly trade the firearms and jewelry for the drugs.
Lindsey is formally charged with three counts of felony possession of controlled substance and felony possession of a controlled substance with the intent to produce or distribute.
An arraignment for Lindsey is scheduled for Dec. 4 in a Ray County court room.
