An EPA settlement with Raymore MO. results in stream protections for a tributary to South Grand River. On October 10th, EPA Region 7 reached an administrative settlement with the City of Raymore, to resolve municipal stormwater violations under the Clean Water Act. Under the settlement, the city will come into compliance with it’s Municipal Seperate Storm Sewer System (MS4) permit, pay a penalty of $22,000.00, and implement a Supplemental Environmental Project (SEP) by creating a rain garden along South Grand River, at a cost of $15,800.00 designed to reduce erosion and pollution.
