CASS COUNTY, Mo. — A Raymore resident faces two felony charges for crimes he allegedly committed last week.

According to a probable cause statement from the Cass County Circuit Court, Malik R. McClinton, 19, was charged with two felonies after law enforcement officers were dispatched to a Ray residence where the found a woman calling out for help, covered in blood, as well as McClinton covered in blood and holding a knife. Officers were initially called to the scene after receiving reports of a disturbance in progress involving a knife.

McClinton was taken into custody where he later informed officers that he “lost it and hurt his girlfriend.”

The victim was transported to Research Medical Center where she received emergency treatment for multiple stab wounds to the head, neck, shoulders, back and hand, as well as emergency treatment for a punctured lung.

McClinton has been charged with a class A felony: domestic assault in the first degree with serious physical injury, as well as felony armed criminal action.

McClinton’s bond has been set $100,000 cash only with special conditions: he must sign up for GPS monitoring and not go within a 1 mile radius of the residence of the victim, nor can he have direct or indirect contact with the victim.
