A collision occurred around 2:05 p.m. Saturday, February 21st in Randolph County.  Approximately 63 miles North of Jacksonville, Tabitha Holton, 18, was driving at a slow speed due to mechanical issues when an unknown vehicle passed her car on the shoulder during a curve.  According to Missouri State Highway Patrol, another vehicle, driven by 40-year-old Brian Walters, was directly behind the unknown vehicle and struck Tabitha’s car from behind.  Heather Holton, Tabitha’s mother, was transported by Randolph County Ambulance to University Medical Center for treatment of serious injuries.  Tabitha Holton and 23-year-old Grace Smith also received minor and moderate injuries, respectively.  They choose to seek their own treatment; Walters did not report any injuries in the accident but his vehicle suffered extensive damage.  Ms. Holton’s vehicle was totaled in the accident.
