LIVINGSTON COUNTY, MO – A scam first reported out of the Marshall area two weeks ago, has been recently reported by a Livingston County resident.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, a local landlord was informed by a potential client, that his property was being advertised online by someone else. The Sheriff’s Office says, the scammer, almost certainly, would have asked the would-be victim for money to rent or purchase the property. The scammer also claimed to be out of the country with the keys to the property. Listed on the scammer’s page was additional property in the Cameron area. The Sheriff’s Office did not report any victims losing money to the scam.
